Tyneham (2024)
One of a series of film vignettes made while staying in Dorset. An exploration of a village evacuated during the Second World War and occupied by the British Army as a training ground ever since, now open at weekends as a tourist attraction.
Harpstone (2024)
Another Dorset film vignette. The camera wanders across private land in search of an ancient standing stone. I created the sound design with a mixture of archive sound effects, digital manipulation of Gregorian chants, and a little bit of voice acting.
The Garden of Love (2023)
A playful, experimental micro-film project shot on location in a number of churchyards around Brighton. Based on the William Blake poem of the same name, this film aims to capture some of the poet’s singular, visionary intensity.
*Screened at the 2024 Minilogue Film Festival as part of Brighton Fringe*
Jade Escapes (2022)
For my Filmmaking MA project, I took advantage of the uncertain future of COVID restrictions to conceive a claustrophobic short horror film with only one actor and a small crew, inspired by the doubled-edged nature of my attempts to escape the pressures of essay deadlines.
